How we met..

We meet online. We didn't know that we lived quite close to each other, we were just a five-minute bus ride away from each other and our paths had never crossed before. We decided to meet and that evening Demola was walking his dog. After that our friendship developed and we had many more evenings filled with dates and walking the dog together.

What made you get a wedding planner?

The reason I decided to go with Mati Gono Events was that I needed help as I had never planned an event/wedding for 200 people before. I thought I could at the beginning and I was trying to do it all by myself with help from Demole of course however I found myself getting overwhelmed and stressed and really needed some professional help.

I reached out to Mati Gono events and when I met up with Mati, she was so on point with everything and I just had that confidence that she knew what she was doing and my wedding would be safe in her hands. Also, the Mati Gono Event Instagram made them stand out amongst the rest.

The most useful piece of advice/guidance I got from my wedding planner

Great advice on the vendors, I was happy with all the vendors they did an amazing job. We had a bit of an issue with the caterers so that the only thing I would've changed. I wish we had taken on Mati Gono events from the start of our planning process as we would have had the advice regarding catering.

I think the Aisle planner app was a really good tool to work with as you could see exactly what needed to be done. I thought It was good that a WhatsApp group was created for quick responses and to keep communication flowing.

I would definitely recommend Mati Gono events because they know what they are doing, they are passionate about the planning process and you can tell they love their work.

Our Favorite moment from your Wedding Day?

This question is so hard to answer... The whole day was just amazing and it was so lovely to see family and friends that came and celebrated this amazing day with us. Overall it went really well. Everything was running well and everyone had a good time.

We loved everything about our day from the decor, DJ how it all came together. Demola looked so dapper on our wedding day he got his suit from Tom Ford and shoes Salvatore Ferragamo. I loved my dresses, I got my dress from prom & weddings it's a bridal shop in Sweden. The designer of the dress is Pronovias. My shoes were jimmy choo and Valentino. My jewelry from Lily & Rose. My evening dress was from RedBeebyml.

All our guests were VIP's and we just wanted to say a special thank you to our parents and Former Governor, Ondo state. Nigeria - H.E Governor Mimiko and his wife Mrs. Kemi Mimiko and to Seun Dampte.
