Sarah & Kwaku

At Just As Planned, we have had the privilege to join a very special couple as they embarked on their journey to their wedding day.  Sarah and Kwaku are a couple we hold dear to our hearts. We have been there since Sarah said ‘yes,’ all the way until the last wedding guests left the dance floor.

The Engagement

Their lovely Engagement shoot hosts a range of loved up shots against some of the most romantic backdrops the city of London has to offer. The couple gave us an invitation into their e-shoot and we graciously accepted.

​Apart from the amazing views, Sarah and Kwaku share a mutual love for London because it is where their love story began. Although Kwaku was originally a resident of Ghana and Sarah is a Brit (with Caribbean roots), they are proof that long distance relationships can have a happy ending. What started out with persistent phone calls and an embarrassing moment on their first date has now blossomed into what is just the start of a long and happy.

The Wedding
The couple chose to get married on a weekday, which is a fast-growing wedding trend. The day was blessed with beautiful weather hints of rouge and smiles all round. Of course our bride looked beyond stunning and chose to sport another trend of a jewellery headpiece, while the groom looked very dapper.

​Picture Highland House on a sunny August day, can you say amazing?! Sarah and Kwaku’s reception was a lovely relaxed affair which started with a cocktail hour in the Drawing room of main house and led into the Grand Pavilion for dinner.  The night was filled with fun food and joy as well as a special acapella number from the groom and his former school chums and a wonderful fireworks display. We could going on about this spectacular occasion, but we’ll stop right here and let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
