Hey lovies I recently had a conversation with our destination weddings & Honeymoon/retreat specialist on how important traveling is. Being in Marrakech these last few days has really being an eye opener to how much I love travelling, Adventure travel & Luxury. We love doing destination weddding & organising our clients honeymoon but I hope this piece by Bukola Ajisafe inspires you as much as it has inspired me on how you can aslo travel the world.

Be Adventurous: Why Not take a weekend away to explore new cities around you. Life is much too short to be angry & annoyed all the time. Give yourself a little treat and see how happier you will feel.

Wake Up Early: The best part of my holiday is waking up early at sunrise, absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, the view gives you life and purpose. its also a magical time for photos and videos selfies.

Laugh out Loud: You will definitely look like a fool many times when traveling to new places. Rather than get embarrassed, laugh at yourself. Don’t be afraid to screw up, and don’t take life so seriously. Join the fun and Laugh out loud, you only live once.

Stash Extra Cash: One of my best spot to stash extra cash is under the bed, inside my boxing cloves or inside my toiletry bag, trust me you will need it, just incase of emergency, Cash is very important around the world, when you lose your wallet or your atm card stops working, you know you’ve got some cash somewhere.

Stay and Meet Local People: Stay and meet local people, i find my trip to Berlin very interesting. Basic english is spoken widely all over the world, so it’s easier to communicate with them than you might think, especially when you combine hand gestures and body language.

Observe Daily Life: If you really want to get a feel for the pulse of a place, I recommend spending a few hours sitting in a park or on a busy street corner by yourself just watching day to day life happen in front of you. Slow down your thoughts and pay close attention to the details around you, and you’ll see stuff you never noticed before.

Back it up: It’s important to back up your documents, files and photos, either on an external hard drive or online. you never know when you need to get up and go.

Take Lots Of Photos: I love taking photos, i think i have about 50,000 photos on my hard drive from just 5 travels. i take photos of everything i see and people i meet, you may only see these places & meet these people once in your lifetime. its always good to remember them forever with plenty of photos. Don’t worry about looking like a “tourist”. great photos are easy to share and ultimate souvenir.

Get Lost On Purpose: If you want to see the parts of town where real people live & work, you need to go visit them. The best way to do this is on foot — without knowing where you’re going. Write down the name of your hotel so you can catch a taxi back if needed, then just pick a direction and start walking.

Eat local Delicacy: Be adventurous , you think you already know what Chinese or Italian food taste like, chinatown in London is not the same as china town in China, well you won’t know until you taste a bit of everything when you travel. close you eyes and just explore. Don’t be scared.

Be positive: Be impulsive and say yes when someone randomly invites you to try a new activity, or explore a place you didn’t know existed. It’s these unexpected and unplanned situations that add spice to your travels and always turn into the best stories and memories later. Be positive.

Keep Notes: My Travel journal is up to 10, it is of great important to keep notes about you experience and Information like, feelings about a new experience, or names of people you met or things you’ve done and conversations you had. its a great memory to look back and share.

Pack Light: My mother loves to travel as much as i do, she will pack 2 boxes for just one week and come back with 5 boxes. whats the point mother!? “i said” pack what you need, because when you start travelling, you get to buy as you go.

Treat Your Body Well and eat well: Sometimes we forget our workout routine or eating well when we move from place to place. in order for you to keep up with your travel plans, sleep well, get enough sleep, stay hydrated , eat healthy, exercise often even though that can be a bit difficult, trust me i know.

Keep In Touch: One thing i forgot to do during my travel was to keep in contact with my friends and family, not until all my friends ignored and forgot i even existed. then i sent post cards and snapchat messages and few mails out. so don’t get cut up with the adventure of life remember to call your family & friends from time to time. You constantly meet new people. But many of those relationships are fleeting, so maintaining a strong connection with the people who know you best is important.

Keep Exploring: Keep travelling, nothing is stoping you, get a world map and put it against your wall and tick as you go. Take a month off and travel to 3 different countries, take a week off and visit a nearby country, take a weekend off and visit the cities in your country. why not? why are you scared? what are you waiting for? is it the money or actually taking the time off? i am sure the new call of duty game can wait, or iPhone or that Armani suit or the Prada shoes.

If you truly want to travel more, you can make it happen. Career breaks are possible. It’s a big, beautiful, exciting, and fascinating world out there. Explore some of it now, rather than later.

As for me, the world is my oyster… Remember you only live just once.

PS, I’m just sharing but most people who wait to travel the world never
